Mind Body CONNECTION

THE BODY FOLLOWS THE MIND

Everything that runs through our mind has the ability to strengthen or weaken our body, demonstrating the powerful mind-body connection!

For instance, when you think of something that makes you feel good, you experience positive emotional responses; in contrast  thinking of something that makes you feel bad leads to negative emotions. Both thoughts are a creation of the mind, and your body responds accordingly because whatever you think, your body follows.

From life's experiences, you store information in your subconscious programming, not just visual memories but also sensory such as taste, touch sounds and smells. Your past experiences and the emotions associated with them.Dictate how you perceive the world and how you react to everything in your life.

PERCEPTION

The cause of all problems often lies in our perception.

This perception shapes how one person experiences an event compared to another.

Two individuals can face identical circumstances but may have vastly different emotional responses. Two people may also both experience the same “problem” and one may feel stressed while the other feels calm – or may not even notice it. The difference? Their  programming and the references each of them holds in the subconscious influencing their mind-body connection.

THE UNCONSCIOUS MIND

The subconscious runs the brain and body, playing a crucial role in the mind-body connection. This is why we’re able to do so many things on “automatic”. Every function of the body and brain, including our emotional responses and most tasks we perform throughout the day, are dictated and controlled by the subconscious. The conscious mind cannot manage a fraction of these functions alone; it is the subconscious programming that has the capacity to control and maintain all of this – and much more.

THE UNCONSCIOUS VS THE CONSCIOUS MIND

The conscious and subconscious work in distinctly different ways. The conscious mind uses logic and reason, the subconscious is unable to use reason or logic. It lacks the ability. The primary function of the conscious mind is to make sense or interpret stimuli,  whereas the role of the subconscious is to keep us alive and safe. The conscious mind has the ability to argue, strategize, theorize, and negotiate – all skills that are needed when making sense of experiences. The subconscious, on the other hand, is programmed. It does not have the ability to judge right or wrong; to negotiate; to “think” – it runs true to its programming, based on the “proof” and “evidence” it holds, in the form of memories.

In other words, if the subconscious contains a memory of a parent expressing disgust with wealthy people, it could refer to that memory as “proof” that it is not safe to be wealthy. And since it is the role of the subconscious to keep us safe, it will do whatever it takes to keep us from that perceived “danger”.

This implies that no matter how much we consciously try to change what we believe, the decisions we make, and the actions we take, as long as the subconscious contains this “proof” that what we want is dangerous, we will never get beyond a certain point. (Unless these proofs and references are changed)

HOW THE SUBCONSCIOUS IS PROGRAMED

From birth, every experience is interpreted and given meaning by the subconscious, which is the key component of our subconscious programming. This information is then filed as memories. Every new experience is filtered through that existing information, contributing to our emotional responses adding to that existing data. This process shows us how the subconscious forms structures that support our identity, and our understanding of how the world works. It's through this mind-body connection that we learn on automatic how to navigate the world and how to respond to various stimuli
